Within your reach: Using Implementation Science to advance your team science

The UCSF Research Development Office hosted a networking event focused on integrating Implementation Science into research on December 11th, 2018. Dr. Margaret Handley, co-director of the Implementation Science Program, gave an overview of IS. The overview was followed by a panel discussion, moderated by Dr. Claire Brindis, focused on how the panelist have integrated Implementation Science into their research. Panelist were Delphine Tuot, Valy Fontil, Priya Shete.


Horizon 2020

The UCSF Research Development Office hosted colleagues from the Horizon 2020, the European Union’s research and innovation funding program. A recording of the event is available here.


Addiction Research Team Science Event

The UCSF Research Development Office hosted a networking event focused on addiction research on June 28th, 2018. Speakers included Frederic Hopf, Margot Kushel, David Pennington, Steven Batki, and Joe Guydish.


Marcus Mixer 2

The UCSF Research Development Office hosted the second annual Marcus Mixer as part of the Marcus Program in Precision Medicine Innovation. 7 Marcus Awardees and 3 other UCSF faculty gave lightning talks. Speakers included, Drs. Chloe Atreya, Stephanie Christenson, Zimu Deng, Sam Goldman, Barbara Koenig, Tung Nguyen, Sam Pleasure, Dean Sheppard, Avanthi Shah, and Claire Brindis.


Autoimmunity Research Team Science Event

The UCSF Research Development Office hosted a networking event focused on autoimmunity research on February 27th, 2018. 6 UCSF Faculty, Drs. Sergio Baranzini, Cristina Lanata, Jennifer Puck, Michael Wilson, and Jimmy Ye gave lightning talks.


Get to Know PCORI

The UCSF Research Development Office hosted a Get to Know PCORI event on October 2, 2017. Dr. Joe Selby, Executive Director of PCORI, gave an overview of the institute, and five PCORI-funded UCSF investigators discussed elements of preparing a successful PCORI proposal (panel discussion not recorded). Consortium on Infant Crying

The UCSF Research Development Office hosted a Consortium on Infant Crying on August 15, 2017. Three UCSF faculty, Drs. Amy Gelfand, Elizabeth Rogers and Michael Cabana, and one visiting speaker, Nurse Judy, gave lightening talks.
